Omegon Plössl 4mm Eyepiece (1.25 inch): Classic four-element with sharp image

The Omegon Plössl 4 mm is a classic eyepiece with four lens elements and multi-coating. The shortest focal length in the series, for maximum magnification in calm atmospheric conditions.

With a telescope of 650mm focal length, 4mm gives a magnification of 163x, and at 900mm, 225x. Follow the rule of thumb of a maximum of 2x the aperture in millimeters: then lunar craters and planetary detail will remain sharp instead of blurry.

Compatibility

Fits any telescope with a 1.25-inch eyepiece holder: Newtonians, Dobsonian, refractors, and Schmidt-Cassegrains. Not suitable for smart telescopes without interchangeable eyepieces.
