The Omegon Pro tripod replaces your tripod with a fixed center column with three foldable legs. It is stiffer than a tripod with three legs: the image settles more quickly after focusing and the pole position remains in place. The tripod weighs approximately 9 kg, supports up to 87 kg, and has adjustable, fixable leveling screws to ensure it is level even on uneven terrain. It is a complete tripod, not an extension to an existing tripod.
This version comes with the iOptron mounting adapter, including a center pin, azimuth pin and screw set. The azimuth pin is the fixed reference point for alignment; without that pin, the mounting will drift during the pole alignment. The adapter fits iOptron mounts with the standard iOptron foot, such as the CEM26, GEM28, HEM27, HAE29, CEM40, HAE43, HEM44, GEM45, iEQ45, CEM60, CEM70, HAE69 and AZ Pro.
