Omegon Parallel Plate 370 mm Losmandy for Two Telescopes: Two Instruments on One Mount

With this 370 mm parallel plate, you can mount two telescopes side by side on a single mount. Handy for comparing instruments, viewing together, or using a telescope and a camera at the same time.

Infinitely adjustable balance

The drill holes allow you to shift the instruments until the setup is balanced. That is more important with a dual setup than with a single telescope: two instruments of different weights throw the mount off balance differently than you would expect.

Pay attention to the load capacity

Two telescopes plus this plate add up. Calculate what the total will be and compare that with the payload capacity of your mount. For astrofotografie, the rule of thumb also applies that you stay well below the specified maximum.

Losmandy style dovetail

The plate uses the wide 3-inch Losmandy profile, which is the preferred choice for this load. A Vixen clamp is generally too light for a dual setup.
