Het Omegon Oberon 23 mm is een ultragroothoekoculair met een beeldveld van 82 graden. Op dat punt verdwijnen de randen uit je waarneming: het bekende spacewalk-effect, alsof je vrij door de ruimte kijkt.

The housing is waterproof and filled with nitrogen. Dew and moisture, the permanent companions of Dutch observation nights, have no chance to cause internal fogging.

82 degrees: the spacewalk effect

With an 82-degree apparent field of view, the edge of the field lies outside your direct field of view. Objects float in a star field instead of inside a circle. On a Dobson without a tracking motor, it also means maximum tracking time before you need to readjust.

Built for humid nights

The waterproof, nitrogen-filled construction prevents internal condensation and keeps dust out. The multi-layer coating on all air-glass surfaces keeps contrast high, and the fold-down eyecup can be adjusted to your viewing distance.

The 2-inch barrel has filter threads for moon and nebula filters.

Wat zie je met 23 mm?

Op een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand geeft 23 mm een vergroting van 52x met ruim anderhalve graad werkelijk beeldveld. De Andromedanevel en de Sluiernevel passen er met omgeving in.

Ook als opzoekbrandpunt op grotere Dobsons is de 23 mm een logische vaste waarde.
