Omegon Nightstar 20+40x100 Doublet Binoculars with Interchangeable Eyepieces: 100 mm with two magnifications in the box
This Nightstar 100 mm comes with two pairs of eyepieces: 20x for a wide view and 40x for detail. Both sets are 1.25 inches, so you can add any other magnification later. The 45-degree viewing angle and the 100 mm doublet lenses make it the most affordable giant binoculars with interchangeable eyepieces in our range.
Practical details that you don't often see at this price: a retractable dew shield per tube, a finder scope mounting foot, and an integrated carrying handle. The scope comes in an aluminum case.

Two magnifications, two exit pupils
At 20x, the exit pupil is 5 mm and the field of view is 2.5 degrees: plenty for star clusters and the Milky Way. At 40x, that becomes 2.5 mm and 1.5 degrees: enough for the moon, double stars, and the core of globular clusters. If you switch sets, you refocus each eyepiece tube individually.
The apparent field of view of the included eyepieces is 54 to 58 degrees. With 65-degree Omegon Flatfield eyepieces, the image becomes wider and the edge sharper.

Optics
Doublet objectives with BaK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics. A slight color fringe at the edge of the moon is normal for a 100 mm achromat. Diopter adjustment 4, eye relief 18 mm.

Construction and use
Rubber armor, 45-degree viewing angle, splash-proof but not waterproof. The tripod mount is located directly on the viewer. A red dot finder on the finder shoe makes targeting at 40x much easier.

Mount
A binocular of this class belongs on a fork mount. The Omegon Pro Neptune with center column and carbon tripod is the complete base; the simpler Omegon fork mount for large binoculars also supports it.
