Omegon Flexible Dew Shield 5 inch (145 to 165 mm): clear image when the temperature drops

A perfectly aligned telescope is worthless once the optics fog up. This flexible dew shield extends the tube past the lens or corrector plate, causing it to lose less heat to the open sky and condensation to occur much later or not at all.

Velvet on the inside

The interior is lined with black velvet. This suppresses stray light from streetlights and the moon, and at the same time slows down the cooling of the optics. So, a double win: more contrast and less dew.

Rollable and adjustable

The shade is made of lightweight and flexible plastic and can be rolled up for transport. With the adjustable Velcro closure, you can attach it securely around the optical tube, without tools and without damaging the finish.
