Omegon Electronic Filter Wheel EFW 8×1.25 inch: eight filters, automatically changed

With this electronically controlled filter wheel, you can automatically use up to eight 1.25-inch filters. During a session, you can switch between LRGB and narrowband filters without touching the telescope.

Why automatic switching

Every manual intervention on the telescope takes time and risks a shifted alignment. An electronic wheel changes filters on command from your capture software, allowing a session to run completely unattended.

Structure

The housing is made of black anodized aluminum. A silent motor locks each filter position precisely in place, so that filters are always positioned at the exact same spot in the light path.

Connection and software

You connect the EFW to your laptop or controller via USB. Support for ASCOM and INDI drivers makes the wheel widely compatible with common capture software.
