Omegon Controller for Dew Heaters: moderate heating, not at full power

A dew heater strip connected directly to 12V is always at full power. That devours battery and often heats more than necessary, because preventing dew only requires a few degrees above ambient temperature. Warmer air above the optics also means a less stable image.

This controller regulates the power continuously via pulse width modulation. For each channel, you turn the heat down to the minimum that keeps the optics dry, and your battery lasts hours longer.

Two channels, independently adjustable

The two RCA outputs work independently. A thick strap around the main tube and a thin strap around the finder require different power levels; here you adjust both separately.

Waterproof for practical use

The housing is waterproof. Dew prevention by definition means working in humid nights, so the controller itself must not be a weak spot.

Connect

The 1.5 m power cable ends in a cigarette lighter plug that fits powertanks, power banks with a 12 V car socket, and the universal power supply.
