The Omegon illuminated reticle eyepiece Plössl 9 mm combines a multi-coated Plössl optical system with an illuminated, infinitely adjustable double reticle. The higher magnification of the 9 mm brand point makes deviations visible even earlier than with longer brand points.

You do not cover the follower star, but frame it between the fine lines: every drift stands out immediately.

Adjustable reticle

The crosshair is infinitely adjustable, allowing you to position it precisely where your guider or guide scope needs it. Together with the adjustable focus of the reticle, this makes this eyepiece suitable for serious alignment work.

Plössl optics for faint stars

The four-element Plössl design with multicoating also keeps fainter guide stars bright enough to work with. In an off-axis guider, where bright stars are scarce, every percent of transmission counts.
