Omegon Zoom Eyepiece Super Plössl 7-21 mm (1.25 inch): three eyepieces in one twist

The Omegon Super Plössl zoom eyepiece continuously adjusts its focal length from 21 to 7 mm. You locate an object at low magnification and then zoom in to the level of detail that the evening permits, without changing eyepieces.

On a 130/900 Newtonian, the magnification range from 43x to 129x goes from the entire lunar disk to crater detail with the same focusing movement.

This is how the field of view of a zoom works

The apparent field of view changes with the zoom setting: from 30 degrees at 21 mm to 43 degrees at 7 mm. That is a characteristic of every zoom eyepiece in this class; therefore, at the high magnifications where you need the field the most, it is the widest.

Practically equipped

The foldable rubber eyecup keeps stray light out, and the filter thread accepts moon and color filters that remain functional at any zoom setting.
