Omegon 2 inch to 1.25 inch Twist-Lock Adapter: clamps with a twist instead of a screw

The standard adapter clamps your eyepiece with a screw-type fastener: the eyepiece tilts slightly and the housing gets a dent. This twist-lock system is different. A turn of the ring locks a self-centering clamp that holds the eyepiece firmly in place all around and precisely centered.

You notice that at high magnification, where a tilting ocular distorts the image to an off-center view, and when switching in the dark: turning is possible with gloves on, but finding a screw is not possible.

Self-centering and damage-free

The clamping ring presses evenly around the casing. The eyepiece therefore always remains on the optical axis and does not leave any dents or scratches.

Filter wire built in

At the bottom is a 2-inch filter thread. A moon filter or light pollution filter rotates in it and then works for each 1.25-inch eyepiece you attach to it, without moving the filter per eyepiece.
