The Lunt LS100MT B3400 FT is the most complete version of the 100 mm models. The large B3400 blocking filter provides the widest field of view within the MT series: the complete solar disk with a lot of detail, even on large camera sensors. For advanced solar photographers, this is the version with the most freedom in framing.
FeatherTouch focuser: top-level focusing
The 2-inch FeatherTouch focuser with 1:10 micro-finesse control focuses smoothly, even with heavy cameras, without shifting or backlash. Exactly what you need at a bandwidth of less than 0.7 Ångström, where the sharpness of filaments and spicule fields is determined at the micron level.
100 mm opening: surface texture resolution
Featuring 100 mm of obstruction-free ED optics and a 714 mm focal length (f/7), the LS100MT brings out structures that smaller apertures miss: granulation detail around active regions, layered prominences, and fine plage structure. The Pressure-Tuner tunes the etalon in a wear-free and homogeneous manner across the entire image.
Modular: sun by day, deep-sky by night
Like the other MT models, the LS100MT is completely modular. Without the etalon module, you can use it as a 100 mm f/7 ED refractor for moon, planet, and deep-sky photography. B3400 blocking filter, solar finder, handle, tube rings, and transport case are included.

An H-alpha solar telescope is safe for solar observation due to its closed filter system. Check the etalon and blocking filter for damage before each use. Never look at the sun through an ordinary telescope, binoculars, or finder without a certified solar filter on the objective end.
