Omegon Color Filter Light Red #23A 2 inch: Mars detail in 2 inch

This light-red color filter makes fine details on Mars visible. The red tint increases contrast and emphasizes features that often go unnoticed without the filter, such as polar caps and dust storms.

With Jupiter and Saturn, the filter also helps to distinguish structures in the atmosphere. Red light attenuates less strongly than the deeper #25 red wavelengths, and therefore remains more widely usable.

Compatibility

For telescopes with a 2-inch light path. Color filters work best on a telescope with an aperture of approximately 100 mm or larger: the filter absorbs light, and the aperture must be able to compensate for that.
