Twelve inch: maximum performance under a dark sky

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12 inch is the serious large telescope from the Skyline family: 304 mm parabolic aperture, 1525 mm focal length, and 1886 times more light than the naked eye. Spiral structure in galaxies, color in planetary nebulae, and globular clusters resolved to the core: this is the class where a dark sky truly delivers.

Large, but thoughtful

De hoofdspiegelkoeling verkort de afkoeltijd van de forse spiegel aanzienlijk en de 8×40 optische zoeker maakt sterspringen comfortabel. De Plössl-oculairs van 25 mm en 10 mm leveren 61x en 153x; op papier is tot ongeveer 608x zinvol, de atmosfeer laat meestal zo’n 300x toe. Reken op een vaste opbergplek: buis en rockerbox zijn fors.

For whom yes, for whom no

Recommended for: the advanced visual observer with access to a dark sky and space for a full 12 inches. Not recommended for: those who need to transport it regularly; the Retractable model folds up, and the 10-inch model weighs merkbar less.
