Twelve inches with a two-stage Crayford: deep viewing, fine focusing

The Levenhuk Ra 300N The 30 cm Dobsonian is for those who want to get the most out of a dark sky visually. The 304 mm parabolic mirror collects 1886 times more light than the naked eye, and the 2-inch dual-speed Crayford focuser also enables pinpoint sharpness at high magnifications. The mirror cooling fan reduces the waiting time for peak performance.

Built for the serious observer

The Super View 30 mm eyepiece (2-inch, 51x) surveys wide nebula fields, the 9 mm Plössl (169x) captures planetary and lunar detail. On paper, up to about 608x is useful; the Dutch atmosphere usually limits planetary work to around 300x, but the advantage of twelve inches lies in what you see additionally at every magnification. The 8x50 finder scope makes star-hopping comfortable.

For whom yes, for whom no

For: the advanced observer or ambitious beginner with a dark location and space for a full twelve-inch tube. Not for: those who want to transport compactly; look to the New Skyline PRO 12 inch Retractable with collapsible truss.
