iOptron MC-DC1 Nikon Shutter: shutter cable for Nikon
With the MC-DC1, you can trigger your Nikon DSLR’s shutter without touching the camera. Every touch causes vibrations that are immediately visible with long exposures; this cable eliminates that.
The cable is intended for use with the SkyGuider Pro, which uses it to control automatic exposure sequences for time-lapse and stacked shots.

Linked to the SkyGuider Pro, a recording sequence runs independently: you set the sequence, the mounting mechanism releases the shutter. Check that your Nikon model has an MC-DC1 connection.
