iOptron iAFS2 / BORG 80 Adapter: telescope adapter for the iAFS2

With this aluminum adapter, you can mount the iOptron iAFS2 automatic focus on BORG 80 telescopes and other models with an M58 connection. The adapter forms the fixed, backlash-free transition between the telescope and the focus. The connection on the telescope side is M58.

A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.

Light, stiff and ready to mount

Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
