iOptron iPolar Electronic Polar Finder for CEM60: Electronic Polar Finder
With the iPolar, you align an iOptron CEM60 to the celestial pole via your laptop screen. The built-in camera shows the actual pole position and the direction of the polar axis; using the azimuth and altitude screws, you bring both points together.
The software automatically calculates the exact pole position based on date and time. Looking through a small optical pole finder is no longer necessary, and alignment is also successful even if Polaris is not clearly visible.

Accurate at every location
The sensitive sensor with a wide field of view finds the correct orientation even after a rough alignment. The iPolar works in both the northern and southern hemispheres and remains usable at low latitudes. Precise polar alignment extends the usable exposure time without guiding.
The connection to the computer is via USB 2.0.

Assembly
This version fits into the polar shaft of the CEM60 and replaces the optical polar finder. You use the mount's fine-adjustment screws to bring the two points on the screen together. The CEM70 comes standard with a built-in iPolar; this unit serves as a replacement for that.
