iOptron CEM26 Mount GoTo LiteRoc: Center-Balanced GoTo Mount

The iOptron CEM26 is a centrally-balanced equatorial GoTo mount. The weight of the telescope and mount rests directly above the center of the tripod, providing a remarkably stable setup at a self-weight of just 4.5 kg (10 lbs). Its payload capacity is 12 kg (26 lbs), excluding counterweights.

This mount combines the AccuAlign illuminated optical polar scope and the sturdy LiteRoc stainless steel tripod. This results in a complete setup for visual observation and astrophotography.

The polar scope is free from the declination axis, so you can align at any time without moving the telescope.

GoTo with 212,000 objects

The Go2Nova 8409 hand controller contains a database of over 212,000 objects. After alignment, the mount automatically slews to planets, nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, keeping them precisely in view.

Via the built-in WiFi, you can also control the mount with iOptron Commander or planetarium software; ASCOM support enables full computer control. An ST-4 port is ready for autoguiding.

Smooth and precise mechanics

The worm gears are driven by a belt, which makes the movement quiet and smooth. The periodic error remains below plus or minus 10 arcseconds and can be further reduced with recordable PPEC.

The gear couplings lock with a positive click and can also be operated with gloves on. The adjustable counterweight rod prevents weights from hitting the tripod.

Complete with tripod and finder scope

The LiteRoc tripod has stainless steel legs and a spreader with an accessory tray. The AccuAlign pole finder has a reticle with adjustable brightness for quick, precise pole alignment.

The device operates on 12 V DC; the included power adapter supplies 5 A. For field use, a 12 V cable for the car battery is a practical addition.
