With this 4.5 kg counterweight, you can balance a heavier astrophotography setup on an iOptron mount with a 20 mm rod. Think of a refractor with a camera, filter wheel, and guidescope: precise balance is crucial for steady, sharp shots.

The counterweight fits, among others, the CEM26, HEM27, GEM28, HEM44, iEQ30, and the MiniTower series and is secured with the locking screw.
