Imagine focusing with a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope by moving the main mirror; the image often appears slightly blurred. With this Feather Touch adapter for the Celestron C8 and related models, you attach a separate focus lens behind the telescope and focus finely without the image being shifted.
The adapter fits on the back of the Celestron C8, CPC8, C9.25 and CPC9.25 and on 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrains from Meade, in place of the diagonal or visual back. So you can, for example, put it behind a Celestron C8 on Advanced VX. You'll find more of this type at our Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.
First, set the mirror flat and then use the Feather Touch for fine adjustments. Keep in mind that the extra length moves the focus point outwards, which affects the distance from the sensor when shooting with a reducer.
If you often refit your C8, then adjustment screws for the C8 rearview mirror That's easier. Just make sure that your C8 has metric thread.
