Explore Scientific 100° 14 mm: the ultimate sense of space

The Explore Scientific 100-degree 14 mm 2-inch is a top-class wide-angle eyepiece with argon purging. A 100-degree field of view is larger than your eye can take in at a glance: the edge of the image disappears from your perception and it feels as though you are floating freely among the stars.

The 14 mm with a 100-degree field of view is made for deep-sky: star clusters, nebulae, and star fields appear in it with a borderless feeling of space. You move your eye through the image instead of the telescope.

Uncompromising optics

The multi-element lens design is corrected to the edge, so that stars remain point-like even outside the center. The patented EMD multicoating maximizes light transmission and prevents reflections and ghosting.

Argon-filled and waterproof

The sealed, argon-filled housing permanently keeps out moisture, dust, and mold. Dew-heavy nights and years of field use do not affect this eyepiece.

Comfort during long sessions

You adjust the adjustable eyecup to your viewing position. The weight does require a sturdy focuser and possibly rebalancing the telescope.

Featured accessories

A 2-inch nebula filter screws directly into the filter thread. Use an eyepiece bag or case with pre-cut foam: this is an investment you want to transport protected.
