End cap for 3.5 inch focuser camera, 92×1 mm inner thread | Feather Touch by Starlight

If a large camera or a filter wheel is attached to your 3.5-inch Feather Touch focus ring, you want everything to be securely and straight-on. With this end cap with 92×1 mm internal thread, you can screw a camera or accessory with the same thread directly onto the focus ring.

The end cap comes on the output of a 3.5 inch Feather Touch focuser from Starlight Instruments. A threaded connection is stiffer than a clamp connection. That helps with astro cameras with a large sensor, where a slight tilt is already visible in the corners of your photo.

Before ordering, check that your camera or adapter has a 92×1 mm external thread, and take the thickness of the end cap into account when calculating the distance from the sensor. If you are just starting to shoot with the telescope, please read our explanation about photographing stars.
