Rainband for 2 inch eyepieces | Astrozap

Behind a large ocular lens you often spend a long time, and that is when dew forms on the ocular lens. This Astrozap dew band for a 2-inch ocular heats the glass slightly, so no moisture will be absorbed.

The band is made for eyepieces with a 2 inch barrel, which often have a large eyepiece lens. You attach it to the eyepiece and connect it to a dew point regulator. You can find more 2 inch eyepieces and barlow lenses at ocular lenses and barlow lenses.

Position the band as close as possible to the eye lens and start with a low setting on your controller. If the eyepiece feels really warm, then the controller is too high. For a whole night you need a battery, like a power tank of 17Ah; just make sure the connection fits your controller.
