EdgeHD-scherpte met de stabiliteit van het zware platform

The Celestron EdgeHD 800 CGEM II combineert de 203 mm aplanatische EdgeHD-optiek met de CGEM II-montering. Het gecorrigeerde beeldveld houdt sterren puntvormig tot in de hoeken van een grote sensor, en de 18 kg draagvermogen-marge houdt buis, camera en guider rotsvast op koers. Met 841 keer meer licht dan het blote oog is dit het startpunt van serieuze EdgeHD-fotografie.

The EdgeHD Advantage

Correctielenzen in de baffle vlakken het beeldveld af, spiegelvergrendelingen voorkomen verschuiving tijdens lange belichtingen en ventilatieopeningen versnellen de afkoeling. Met de optionele f/7-reducer wordt het systeem sneller en breder voor deep-sky werk. Visueel is realistisch planeetwerk tot zo’n 300x onder Nederlandse lucht haalbaar.

The CGEM II Mount: Room for Serious Photography

The CGEM II is Celestron's heavier-duty German equatorial GoTo mount: 18 kg payload capacity, NexStar+ hand controller with over 40,000 objects, All-Star Polar Alignment, permanently programmable periodic error correction (PPEC), and an autoguider port. The mount operates on 12V; a power tank is the logical addition.

Wel: de astrofotograaf die met een acht inch EdgeHD lange, onbewaakte sessies wil draaien. Niet: wie vooral visueel kijkt of licht wil reizen; dezelfde buis op de Advanced VX is dan voordeliger en draagbaarder.
