Bresser Zoom Eyepiece LER Deluxe 8-24mm: three eyepieces in a twist
The Bresser LER Deluxe zoom eyepiece replaces half an eyepiece case. By turning the zoom ring, you can continuously adjust the focal length from 24 mm to 8 mm without changing eyepieces. At 24 mm, you locate an object with a wide field of view, and then you zoom in to the magnification that the sky permits that evening.
This is the Deluxe version with a more extensive optical design of 9 lenses in 6 groups. This provides better field correction and more edge sharpness than the standard zoom eyepiece, with an apparent field of view ranging from 40 degrees at 24 mm to 62 degrees at 8 mm.

Comfortable for eyeglass wearers
LER stands for Long Eye Relief: the eye relief is 20 mm across the entire zoom range. This allows you to see the full field of view even while wearing glasses. The rubber eyecup twists up or down to suit your personal viewing position.

Solidly built
The housing is made entirely of black anodized aluminum with a ribbed, rubberized focus ring. A white laser engraving with an arrow indicates the set focal length, which is easy to read even in the dark.
All lens surfaces are fully multi-coated and the lens edges are blackened. This keeps reflections low and contrast high.

How to use the zoom range
On a telescope with a 900 mm focal length, the magnification ranges from 38x at 24 mm to 113x at 8 mm. At 1000 mm, that is 42x to 125x. With this, you cover the range in one turn that you would otherwise build with three separate eyepieces: overview, moon, and planetary detail.
Included
- Zoom eyepiece with dust caps
- Rotatable rubber eyecup
Featured accessories
Combine the zoom eyepiece with the Bresser 1.25-inch polarizing filter to dim the bright moon. For even higher magnifications on planets, the Bresser 2x Barlow lens is a great fit.
For whom yes and for whom no
- ✓ Observers who want to quickly switch between overview and detail
- ✓ Eyeglass wearers, thanks to the 20 mm eye relief
- ✓ Travelers and balcony observers who want to pack light
