The Bresser Messier 152/1900 Hexafoc GoTo is the top model of the Maksutov line. The largest optics, a Hexafoc with 1:10 fine adjustment, and the fully automatic EXOS-2 GoTo mount: this is a precision instrument for anyone who wants to get the maximum out of Moon, planet, and double star observation.

6-inch Maksutov with fine focus

The Maksutov design folds a 1900 mm focal length into a short, closed tube. The meniscus lens corrects the mirror almost completely: no chromatic aberrations and a small central obstruction, hence high contrast. The 152 mm aperture gives 73x with the included 26 mm eyepiece; consider approximately 300x as the maximum (f/12.5). Collimation is rarely needed, the optics are virtually maintenance-free. Allow for 30 to 45 minutes of cooldown time: the closed tube must reach ambient temperature for the sharpest image. The Hexafoc with 1:10 reduction focuses down to the micrometer: indispensable at 250x and higher.

StarTracker GoTo System

The StarTracker hand controller knows over 100,000 objects and automatically positions the telescope. Servo motors on both axes then track accurately. Via the ST-4 port, you can later connect an autoguider.
