The Morpheus series is Baader’s answer to the demand for premium wide-angle eyepieces that remain sharp even in fast telescopes. The apparent field of view of 76 degrees gives you the feeling that you’re looking out into space through a window, without the stars at the edges fading into streaks.

Thanks to the wide interpupillary distance, you can observe comfortably, even with glasses. The rubber eyecup is adjustable, and the housing is impact-resistant rubberized: made for years of field use.

Six focal lengths

The series ranges from 4.5 mm to 17.5 mm: 4.5 / 6.5 / 9 / 12.5 / 14 / 17.5 mm. This covers everything from high planetary magnification to deep-sky overviews. Each size fits both a 1.25-inch and a 2-inch focuser thanks to the dual-mount design.

Sharp to the corners

The optical design corrects for coma and astigmatism at the edge of the field, even with fast focal ratios like an f/5 Dobsonian. Stars remain point-like across the entire field, and contrast remains high due to the multi-layer coating and blackened lens edges.

Thoughtful in the field

The eyepieces have photographic threads for eyepiece projection, luminous markings that glow in the dark, and a mount that won't freeze up on cold nights. Protective caps and a storage bag are included.
