The Omegon Pro tripod replaces your tripod with a fixed center column with three foldable legs. It is stiffer than a tripod with three legs: the image settles more quickly after focusing and the pole position remains in place. The tripod weighs approximately 9 kg, supports up to 87 kg, and has adjustable, fixable leveling screws to ensure it is level even on uneven terrain. It is a complete tripod, not an extension to an existing tripod.
This version comes with the mounting adapter for the widely used EQ-5/EQ-6 foot mount and three M6 hex screws. According to Omegon, it fits on the Sky-Watcher EQ-3, (H)EQ-5, AZ/EQ-5 and (AZ-)EQ-6(R), Bresser EXOS-2, Celestron AVX and CGEM, Meade LX85 and Vixen GP. Check the mounting bolt pattern before ordering.
