Omegon MightyMak 90 Maksutov: the most powerful MightyMak

The Omegon MightyMak 90 Is it the top model of the series: 90 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length (f/11.3) in a 25.5 cm tube and weighing 1.3 kg. More light and detail than any other MightyMak, and still small enough for a backpack.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

Omegon MightyMak 90 with diagonal mirror and eyepiece

90 mm opening, 165 times more light

With the included 25 mm eyepiece, you view at 40x; with additional eyepieces, up to approximately 180x is usable. The Moon shows fine crater details, Jupiter its cloud bands and moons, Saturn a clearly separated ring.

Double stars are also within reach: the resolving power of 1.5 arcseconds is the best in the series.

Telephoto lens and spotting scope in one

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes: the image is upright.

Ready for a bigger tripod

The GP dovetail fits virtually any astronomical mount, and three photo tripod threads make any photo tripod usable. This telescope thus grows with a larger setup later on.

Featured accessories

A finder scope sits on the tube: the Omegon LED red dot finder (19.90 euros) makes aiming much faster. The Omegon Cronus 7mm eyepiece (79 euros) provides planetary magnification at 143x. An Omegon Premium moon filter (19.90 euros) dims moonlight, and the Omegon solar filter 104-128mm (69 euros) fits the 110mm tube for safe solar observation, including during the solar eclipse on August 12, 2026.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.
