Sky-Watcher AZ Pronto: unpack, set up, look
The AZ Pronto is a hand-operated, cast-aluminum alt-azimuth mount that is simplicity itself: telescope in the Vixen saddle, point, look. No power, no alignment, no startup time. With a mere 1 kg of its own weight and a 3 kg payload capacity, it's made for small refractors and Maksutovs.

The adjustable clutch allows you to tilt the telescope directly into position, after which the slow-motion cables handle the fine-tuning: smooth tracking and centering, even at higher magnifications. The included tripod with accessory tray completes the set: set it up, click in the telescope, and observe.
Included
- AZ Quick Mount Socket
- Tripod with accessory holder
- Slow-motion cables
For whom yes, for whom no
Ideal as a grab-and-go base for small telescopes up to 3 kg and as a more stable replacement for a wobbly entry-level tripod. Those who want automatic tracking or GoTo functionality should look at the AZ-GTi family.
