Sky-Watcher Evostar-102 EQ3-2: de klassieker onder de planeetrefractors

De Sky-Watcher Evostar-102 EQ3-2 combineert een 102/1000 mm achromaat (f/9,8) met de stabiele EQ3-2 montering. De obstructievrije 102 mm lens levert het hoge contrast waar refractors om geliefd zijn, en de meegeleverde 2 inch star diagonal met adapter maakt de set ook klaar voor grote overzichtsoculairs.

Wat zie je door de Evostar-102?

Met 102 mm obstructievrije opening zie je kraters en bergen op de maan haarscherp, wolkenbanden op Jupiter, de ringen van Saturnus en bij goede omstandigheden de poolkappen van Mars. Het contrast van een refractor zonder centrale obstructie maakt planeetdetail net iets pittiger dan een spiegel van gelijke maat. Heldere deep-sky doelen doen mee.

Compleet uitgerust, inclusief 2 inch diagonaal

Waar veel sets stoppen bij 1,25 inch, levert deze Evostar een 2 inch star diagonal mee: comfortabel kijken én de mogelijkheid om later brede 2 inch oculairs te gebruiken. De EQ3-2 volgt met fijninstelling en is uitbreidbaar met volgmotoren of een GoTo-upgrade.

This is how to get the most out of this telescope

• Almost no cool-down time A refractor lens reaches operating temperature within 10 to 15 minutes, much faster than a mirror telescope. Ideal for short sessions.
• Know what an achromat is: around very bright objects like Venus or the moon's edge, you'll see a thin purplish-blue fringe. That's characteristic of this lens design, it's visually quickly noticeable, and it's the reason why these types of apertures are affordable. For photography, it's the reason to consider an ED refractor.
• Roughly align the mount to Polaris: For visual use, north and the correct pole height are roughly sufficient; then you follow objects with one axis.
• Magnification: the 10 mm eyepiece gives 100x; a 6 mm planetary eyepiece (167x) brings out the maximum planet detail.
• Never look directly at the sun without protection., not even: this is doubly true for a refractor. Only with a certified solar filter on the front.
