iOptron iAFS2 / M90 Adapter: telescope adapter for the iAFS2
With this aluminum adapter, you can mount the iOptron iAFS2 automatic focus system on telescopes with M90x1 threaded connections, such as the GSO RC6 and RC8. The adapter forms the fixed, backlash-free connection between the telescope and the focus system. The connection on the telescope side is M90x1.
A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.
Light, stiff and ready to mount
Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
