Celestron Telescope AC 70/900 Astromaster 70 EQ is a very nice and solidly built beginner's scope. Thanks to its high-quality optical elements, this refractor delivers an unusually sharp and high-contrast image for its class. The long focal length of 900 mm allows for high magnifications, ideal for planetary observations and viewing details on the moon.

The fixed-mount LED viewfinder lets you find your target objects quickly and easily, while the 1.25″ rack-and-pinion focuser ensures accurate focusing. The included 20 mm and 10 mm eyepieces give you different magnifications to alternate between wide and detailed observations. Thanks to the 90° Amici prism, you also view upright and mirrored images, making this telescope also suitable for nature and earth observations.

The optical tube is attached with a standard dovetail and can be assembled within minutes, without special tools. This makes the telescope accessible to beginners who want to start their observations immediately.

The telescope sits on the Celestron CG-2 parallactic mount, which offers stability and precise movements. The flexible axes and adjustment scales allow you to track celestial bodies precisely manually. The sturdy steel tripod is height adjustable and features an accessory tray. For added convenience, a tracking motor can be added later.

Application
With this telescope you can observe the moon in detail, including craters, mountains and valleys. Planets such as Jupiter with its four Galilean moons, Saturn with its rings and even the polar caps of Mars when conditions are favorable are visible. Bright deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and the Pleiades are also among the possibilities. For fainter galaxies, the 70 mm aperture is limited, but for beginners, this scope offers an excellent balance between ease of use and optical performance. Thanks to the Amici prism, you can also use the telescope for terrestrial observations, such as landscapes or birds.
