Omegon Field Flattener 2 inch: flat field for virtually any refractor

A refractor without a flattener projects a curved field of view onto a flat sensor: the center is in focus, while the corners show stretched stars. This flattener flattens the field without changing the brand point spacing, ensuring that the entire image is in focus.

Unlike model-specific flatteners, this is a universal version for refractors from f/4 to f/8. This makes it the logical choice for anyone who owns a refractor for which no dedicated flattener exists.

Adjustable to your brand point distance

The correct working distance depends on the brand point distance of your refractor and ranges from 108 to 128 mm. The included extension tubes, which allow for a chip distance of up to 53 mm, help you set up that distance precisely.

Once determined, note down the combination: after that, the setup can be repeated in a single action.

M48 through and through

Telescope side and camera side are both M48, the size of 2-inch filters and modern camera adapters. This allows you to build a fully threaded chain without compression fittings.

Fully multicoated

The optics are fully multi-coated so that the flattener transmits light instead of reflecting it. Bright stars in the field do not produce ghost images.
