Omegon Pro SII CCD Filter 2 inch: sulfur channel for large sensors
This narrowband filter targets the SII emission line of ionized sulfur around 672 nanometers, a staple of the classic Hubble palette. The 2-inch size is intended for large sensors and high resolution.



Detail that otherwise falls away
With this filter, you can capture faint filament structures and details in emission nebulae that would otherwise remain completely invisible. The narrow bandwidth of approximately 6 to 7 nanometers provides high contrast even with moderate light pollution.

Storende lamp eruit
Moonlight, artificial light, and unwanted starlight components are suppressed, while high-transmission sulfur emission is passed through. This allows for longer exposures without the background becoming saturated.

Objects to start with
Classic targets are the Horsehead Nebula, IC 443 (Jellyfish), and the Rosette Nebula. In SHO combination with H-alpha and OIII, the familiar color palette arises from them.
