Omegon Pro SII CCD Filter 2 inch is a professional narrowband filter for astrophotographers working with large sensors and high resolution. The filter targets the SII emission line of ionized sulfur around 672 nanometers - a crucial part of the classic Hubble palette. It allows you to capture faint filament structures and details in emission nebulae that remain completely invisible without a filter.
With a bandwidth of approximately 6-7 nanometers, this filter is capable of delivering exceptionally high contrast even in moderate light pollution. Moonlight, artificial light and unwanted starlight components are effectively suppressed, while high-transmission sulfur emission is allowed through. Ideal for shots of nebulae such as the Horsehead Nebula, IC 443 (Jellyfish), and the Rosette Nebula.
Thanks to its 2″ size, the filter is compatible with full-frame filter wheels and telescope systems with wide optical paths. The robust mount and high-quality multiple coating ensure maximum image quality and minimal reflection.
