Omegon Pro SII CCD Filter 1.25 inch: the third channel of the Hubble palette
This narrowband filter exclusively transmits light around 672 nanometers, the emission line of ionized sulfur. For astrophotographers who want to capture the full Hubble palette with a monochrome camera, this is the missing channel.


Capture weak sulfur structures
Due to the high peak transmission within a very narrow band, even the weakest sulfur structures become visible, while street lighting and moonlight are effectively suppressed. This allows you to capture high-contrast images even from light-polluted locations.
Typical goals
SII is shown to great advantage on emission nebulae such as the Rosette Nebula, the Crab Nebula and IC 443, the Jellyfish Nebula. Combined with H-alpha and OIII, you can build a full-color image from them.
