Omegon Pro 2-inch UHC filter is a high-quality narrow-band filter designed for visual deep-sky observations from light-polluted areas. UHC stands for Ultra High Contrast - and that is exactly what this filter delivers on objects such as the Orion Nebula, Veil Nebula and Lagoon Nebula.

The filter allows only light from specific emission lines, such as OIII (doubly ionized oxygen) and H-beta (hydrogen), to pass through, while virtually blocking interfering artificial light from sodium and mercury lamps. This results in a deeper background sky and brighter, better-defined nebula structures. Even in dark locations, the filter provides additional contrast.
This 2″ version is suitable for larger eyepieces and photographic applications where a wider light path is desired. The aluminum mount is fine threaded and the glass optics are multi-coated for maximum light transmission in appropriate bands, with minimal reflections.
Advantages
✓ Spectacular contrast in emission nebulae
✓ Blocks disturbing light pollution from street lights
✓ High quality 2″ design - ideal for larger eyepieces or filter wheels
✓ Multi-coated glass - low reflection and color neutral
✓ Optimal for telescopes from 150 mm aperture upwards
