Omegon Deep Sky Filter 1.25 inch: broadband filter for a moderately light-polluted sky
The Omegon Deep Sky Filter is developed for observers who are not in the city, but also not under a truly dark sky. Think of the edge of a residential area or a rural environment with distant lighting.

Contrast without loss of color
The filter blocks the wavelengths of artificial light and transmits the astronomically relevant lines, including OIII and H-beta. Star clusters and nebulae retain their color and brightness, while the background sky appears darker.
Broadband or narrowband
A UHC or OIII filter cuts much more sharply, but also extinguishes stars and makes the image darker. This broadband filter opts for a balance: slightly less contrast gain on emission nebulae, but a more natural image that also works on star clusters and galaxies.
Featured accessories
Combine with a 1.25-inch eyepiece of your choice. If you work with larger eyepieces later, the 2-inch variant of the Omegon light pollution filter is the logical successor.
