Anyone who uses a Schmidt-Newton knows that the viewfinder is attached to the corrector plate. Adjusting it with a screwdriver near that glass is no easy task in the dark. With Bob’s Knobs on your 10-inch Schmidt-Newton, you simply turn with your fingers at large buttons.
The buttons replace the original screws on the viewfinder mount. The set is made for 10 inch Schmidt-Newtons (SNT). Please check beforehand whether your telescope has that size and build.
Replace the screws one by one so that the mirror does not detach. Then line up the screws first with a collimating tip or a Cheshire collimation eyepiece from Sky-Watcher, and take the final step on a bright star at high magnification. How to do that is described in our guide on collimating.
If you have the smaller 6-inch version, there is one available. Set for the 6 inch SNT.
