TeleVue Delos 14mm : 72° Groothoek Oculair: Delos-oculair met 72 graden beeldveld

De Delos 14 mm is de op een na langste 1,25 inch brandpuntsafstand van de serie. Met een veldstop van 17,6 mm benut hij een groot deel van wat een 1,25 inch steek toelaat.

Dat maakt hem geschikt als lage werkbare vergroting: ruim genoeg om objecten te vinden, hoog genoeg om de hemelachtergrond donker te houden.

72 degrees with a long eye relief

The Delos series is designed as a narrower Ethos field of view with more space behind the eyepiece. By keeping the field of view at 72 degrees, TeleVue was able to bring the eye relief to 20mm without the eyepiece becoming unmanageably large.

For eyeglass wearers, that's the difference between seeing the full field of vision and missing a part of it. Even without glasses, you're looking more relaxed because your eye doesn't have to push against the lens.

Zoeken en waarnemen met een oculair

Bij deze brandpuntsafstand kun je een object opzoeken en er direct op blijven waarnemen, zonder eerst te wisselen. Op een Dobson zonder GoTo scheelt dat veel gepruts in het donker.

TeleVue geeft aan dat de 14 mm en de 17,3 mm met de In-Travel verloopadapter parfocaal blijven met de meeste 1,25 inch oculairs die met de Paracorr Type 2 worden gebruikt.

Interpupillary distance and adjustable eyecup

The eyecup is steplessly adjustable in height and lockable in any position, with index markings so you can find a previously found position. This ensures your eye's pupil is always in the same position relative to the telescope's exit pupil.

That's more than comfort. A misplaced eye causes edge discoloration and shadows in the image. With a fixed, repeatable eye position, that problem is gone, even during long sessions.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 86x met een waar beeldveld van circa 0,84 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop reken je dat uit met de veldstop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is 17,6 mm. Dat getal bepaalt hoeveel hemel je werkelijk ziet, niet de brandpuntsafstand alleen.
