De TeleVue Ploessl 11 mm levert een hoge vergroting met net iets meer ademruimte dan de 8 mm. Voor bolhopen, planetaire nevels en maandetail is dit een veelgebruikte stap.

Zoals elk TeleVue Ploessl is hij parfocaal met de rest van de serie: wisselen betekent hooguit minimaal bijstellen.

The TeleVue Ploessl design

Four lenses in two groups are all a good Ploessl needs. Because there are few glass surfaces, transmission remains high and contrast is maximized: precisely the characteristics that matter for planetary and lunar observation.

TeleVue T-type optics brought the design to the current level in the seventies, with tight manufacturing tolerances, multiple coatings, and blackened lens edges. You can see the difference compared to a standard supplied eyepiece right at the edge of the field.

Tussen detail en comfort

Bij 11 mm blijft de oogafstand met ongeveer 8 mm werkbaar voor wie zonder bril kijkt, terwijl de vergroting hoog genoeg is om bolhopen naar de rand toe op te lossen.

In combinatie met een 2x barlow ontstaat een effectieve 5,5 mm, waarmee dit oculair ook het hoge planeetbereik afdekt.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 109x met een waar beeldveld van circa 0,43 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is circa 9,1 mm.

A TeleVue 2x or 3x Barlow lens doubles or triples the magnification of any Ploessl eyepiece without any loss of quality; two Ploessl eyepieces plus a Barlow lens thus cover four magnification levels. Models 25 mm and larger also accept the Dioptrx astigmatism corrector.
