On a C11 or C14 you often work with high magnification or a camera, and then focusing with the large main mirror is difficult to get exactly right. With this focus adapter for the Celestron C11 and C14 you attach a 2-inch focus from Starlight Instruments to the telescope. You set the mirror about right; the precise work is done with the focus adapter.
The adapter is made for the rear connection of these two. Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. So, check beforehand which model you have and whether your focus lens is a 2-inch model.
Keep in mind that the focus lens adds some length to the light path. You compensate for that with the main mirror, but when photographing at fixed distances, you should better check beforehand. If you want to learn more about photographing with such a telescope, see our course in astrophotography.
