Anyone who wants to quickly look at a bird or a detail in the landscape on a hike will be of little use to a viewer sitting at the bottom of the backpack. The Vixen Apex II 8×24 is small and lightweight, with 8x magnification and 24 mm lenses.
It is designed for daytime use. With a projection pupil of 3 mm, the image is fine in daylight, but in low light a larger viewfinder provides more brightness. You will find it among the other compact viewers for hiking and traveling.
If you wear glasses, turn or fold the lenses so that you can see the full image. Without glasses, you should turn them upside down so that your eye is at the correct distance.
