When traveling, you sometimes want to see a bird across the water or a detail of a building better. The Vixen Apex II 10×28 brings that closer by ten times and remains compact enough with 28 mm lenses to take with you.
It is especially effective during the day, when hiking, traveling and observing nature. The exit pupil is 2.8 mm. Larger lenses are better for twilight and the stars, such as in the binoculars for the starry sky.
At 10x, the image moves more with your hands than at 8x. If you support your elbows against your body or lean against a tree or fence, you will look more relaxed. If you mainly look at birds, compare it with the binoculars for birdwatchers.
If you want a wider image that moves less, there is the smaller Apex II 8×24.
