If you want to systematically monitor light pollution in a fixed location, manually measuring is not enough. The SQM-LE sky quality meter has a lens and an Ethernet connection. You connect it to your network and let the brightness of the night sky be measured automatically, all night long, and read out on a computer.

You need a network cable to the measuring point, and outside the meter should be housed in a weatherproof enclosure. Think ahead about where you will store the data so that you can compare the measurement series over months.
