TeleVue Focusmotor NP127is: electric focusing for the NP127is

The focus motor for the NP127 motorizes the telescope's Focusmate unit: focusing with a variable-speed hand controller, without touching the tube.

At high magnification and in photography, that's the difference between focusing on a shaky image and focusing on a still image.

Why motorized focusing

Every touch of the focus button creates a vibration in the image, precisely at the moment you assess sharpness. A motor removes your hand from the telescope and the vibration from the decision.

The variable speed allows for both coarse and micro-adjustments with the same controller; for photography, that fine, repeatable step is essential.

Manual is still possible

The quick-release disconnects the motor without tools, after which the Focusmate simply operates by hand. You choose per session, not forever.

The assembly is done on the existing Focusmate unit of the NP127is, without modifications to the telescope itself.
