TeleVue Everbrite 60° 1.25″: Zenith mirror: 60-degree mirror for nature observation
The Everbrite 60 degrees transforms an astronomical refractor into a comfortable nature viewer. The 60-degree angle of view provides a natural head position when looking horizontally, whereas a 90-degree diagonal angle makes you lean downwards.
The mirror quality is the same as that of the 90-degree Everbrite: 99 percent reflectivity and a dielectric coating.

Why the dielectric coating matters
Every star diagonal sits right in the middle of the light path; what the coating does not reflect is lost. The Everbrite mirrors reflect 99 percent across the entire visible spectrum, with a mirror surface polished flat to within one-tenth of a wavelength.
Furthermore, the dielectric coating is hard and wear-resistant: no protective layer that ages, but a surface that lasts for decades and can simply be cleaned.
Upright, but mirrored
The image is upright, but remains upside down left to right; unique to every single mirror. For birds and landscapes, this changes surprisingly quickly, and reading star charts works just as well as with a 90-degree mirror.
Anyone who demands a completely accurate image ends up with a reverse prism, but this yields reflection and contrast. For combined nature and sky use, this 60-degree mirror is the optically better option.
Featured accessories
The diagonal combines with every eyepiece from the TeleVue lineup; the compression ring also securely holds heavy 2-inch eyepieces. A nebula filter can be screwed directly into the nose of the mirror.
