De DeLite 3 mm is de hoogste vergroting van de serie en bedoeld voor planeetdetail bij rustige omstandigheden. Met 20 mm oogafstand kijk je ook bij deze brandpuntsafstand ontspannen.

De DeLite-serie is opgezet als een compacte variant op de Delos: hetzelfde principe van een lange oogafstand, maar met een beeldveld van 62 graden en een kleinere behuizing. Dat maakt de serie geschikt voor monteringen en binoviewers waar gewicht telt.

62 graden met een lange oogafstand

De DeLite-serie is ontworpen als een smaller Ethos-veld met meer ruimte achter het oculair. Door het beeldveld op 62 graden te houden, kon TeleVue de oogafstand op 20 mm brengen zonder dat het oculair onhandelbaar groot wordt.

For eyeglass wearers, that's the difference between seeing the full field of vision and missing a part of it. Even without glasses, you're looking more relaxed because your eye doesn't have to push against the lens.

Wanneer 3 mm zinvol is

Op een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair 400x. Dat vraagt een opening van ruim 200 mm en een nacht met stabiele lucht.

Werkt het seeing niet mee, dan levert een langere brandpuntsafstand op dezelfde avond meer detail op. Beoordeel de vergroting per nacht, niet per telescoop.

Interpupillary distance and adjustable eyecup

The eyecup is steplessly adjustable in height and lockable in any position, with index markings so you can find a previously found position. This ensures your eye's pupil is always in the same position relative to the telescope's exit pupil.

That's more than comfort. A misplaced eye causes edge discoloration and shadows in the image. With a fixed, repeatable eye position, that problem is gone, even during long sessions.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 400x met een waar beeldveld van circa 0,15 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop reken je dat uit met de veldstop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is 3,2 mm. Dat getal bepaalt hoeveel hemel je werkelijk ziet, niet de brandpuntsafstand alleen.
